Description

Our Counselling in Schools – Safeguarding Training for Counsellors is designed for qualified or trainee counsellors who work or volunteer in schools.

Those attending will have a suitable safeguarding certificate issued by Best for Training.

All our safeguarding training is delivered by approved safeguarding trainers. All our safeguarding training includes the PREVENT duty as standard.

Our training is interactive and includes discussion, case studies and time to reflect on the latest issues in child protection today. The content of the course covers the Ofsted requirements for school staff training and is valid for three years.

Unlike online courses this training is face to face with an allowing you the opportunity to ask questions and benefit from the experiences of an experienced and well qualified trainer.

About the trainer - Judy Taylor

Judy has been working in education for many years and is passionate about education being accessible for all. Judy was graded as an “Outstanding” teacher by Ofsted, in 2014. She has led employer engagement and apprenticeship provision successfully promoting both employers needs and young people’s right to have a positive experience as an apprentice.

Judy holds a BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies and is a qualified teacher. She has been a Designated Safeguarding Officer for many years. Judy has been part of the Local Safeguarding Board Training group, helping to raise the standard of safeguarding training. Judy has been responsible for leading safeguarding training for staff working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
