This training is specifically for those undertaking the role of a Regulation 44 Visitor. The focus is on the key safeguarding role they have in reviewing practice and reaching conclusions about children’s welfare. This interactive session encourages visitors to share and learn while receiving useful tools and guidance to strengthen their effectiveness. In doing so, they will be better equipped to support and challenge homes to keep children safer.
By the end of this training session, participants will be able to:

· Use learning from safeguarding inquiries to strengthen visits
· Use a strengths-based approach to evaluating safety and promoting welfare.

· Consider how to keep themselves safe and monitor their self-care needs
· Identify areas for further professional development
