Safeguarding Training (Nuneaton)
It is a requirement for all adults in Scouting to have undertaken 'approved safeguarding training' at least every five years and this is monitored at the point of appointment review.
The training obligation may be met through two routes:
- Participating in a Safeguarding Awareness Training session run by the County, meeting the objectives and delivered by an approved trainer*.
- Participating in the online alternative (see below).
Given the nature of safeguarding, best practice is to attend a face to face training course. However it is recognised that there may be circumstances where face to face training is difficult to access, so the online alternative has been provided to ensure flexibility and accessibility for those who need it.
The car park at 11th Nuneaton is quite small - its best to park at the far end of Ambleside Sports and Social Club, accessed via Windermere Avenue (CV11 6AT). There is a pedestrian gate at the far end, turn right and the Hut is straight ahead.
