Safeguarding Training Pathway for those with Permission to Officiate

By Diocese of Bristol: Safeguarding

Overview

PTO Pathway Safeguarding Training for Clergy and Licensed Lay Ministers who hold Permission to Officiate within the Diocese of Bristol.

The training will be delivered in person. Participants will be sent pre-course reading two weeks prior to the course and will be asked to complete some homework before the session.

This session builds on the learning from the Basic Awareness (C0) and Foundation (C1) training. If you have not previously completed these sessions please do so online before attending the Leadership training. They are available here: https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org/

All PTOs will be eligible for the PTO pathway unless you are a member of a parish leadership team, in which case you will need to take the C2: Leadership Course.

Simply taking services, preaching and engaging in pastoral care – even very frequently – does not mean you need to take the leadership course.
