Why is this training important?
To comply with the new codes of conduct and the aims of the Care Certificate it is essential for all care workers within the health and social care sector to have safeguarding training in all areas. It will also ensure staff are all aware and have the knowledge of how to reduce the likelihood of abuse occurring,
Who needs this training/ qualification
All employees who support vulnerable adults/young people/children
New carers (to assist with the completion of standards 10 & 11 of the Care Certificate)
- Current legislation
- Identifying signs and symptoms of possible abuse
- Dealing with disclosure
- Reporting/ Recording
- Knowledge of serious reports and the outcomes
This one day course is delivered by presentation, discussion and completion of a course workbook to assist learning and understanding.
End of session quiz. Each learner will be awarded a certificate of achievement.
