Event description

Description

In his letter of 16th April sent to all organisations funded under the Scottish Government's International Development Fund, the Minister for Europe, Migration and International Development reinforced his ongoing commitment to safeguarding, and affirmed that he would continue to prioritise it during 2019/20. Minister also set out the clear view of the Scottish Government that safeguarding is of paramount importance to all organisations which come into contact with vulnerable individuals.

As Minister explained, in extending out to grantholders a safeguarding workshop which Scottish Government officials had already undertaken, he believes this will help to deepen a shared conversation amongst us all – to develop a shared understanding of the impact of culture on safeguarding practice and a common language.

The Scottish Government is therefore now pleased to invite you to attend one of the two days in this second cohort of safeguarding workshops - Wednesday 4 September or Thursday 5 September.

Delivered by Sally Proudlove from UNICEF, this workshop aims to deepen conversations, develop a common language and increase our understanding of the impact of culture on safeguarding practice.
