Safer Sikhs Partnership working with West Midlands Sikh Police Association will be holding the first ever multi faith Safeguarding Conference on Thursday 27th October 2016 at Birmingham.
A multi faith conference to bring together faith organisations and national safeguarding bodies to explore the challenges faced when addressing safeguarding in the faith setting.
The focus of the conference will be to identify the measures, responsibilities and support required for faith leaders in creating safe environments and prevent harm to children and vulnerable adults.

Safer Sikh Partnership
The Safer Sikh Partnership was launched in December 2015.
Safer Sikhs are working with in partnership with authorities and national charities such as NSPCC and Barnardos to improve safe guarding practices within UK faith based organisations. Initial streams of work have focussed on child protection, grooming along with promoting inclusivity for those with special educational needs and vulnerable adults.
