Event description

Description

Getting out and about is important to people with a dementia. However, sometimes people get lost, as the condition affects a person’s ability to navigate. The police and telehealth services offer Global Positioning System (GPS) or location technologies, to support people with dementia and their family carers with navigation.

Over the past two years, researchers at the University of Southampton have been talking to people with a dementia and their family carers who use a GPS enabled technology. We would like to share our findings with you, including practical guidance to help people stay safe when they are out and about.
