About this event

We are delighted to have a great group of speakers to support this event.

Mark Moore, is a serving police officer, who has been leading the region’s cyber resilience centre for almost two years now. Part of a Home Office-funded network, the centre aims to plug the gap for SMEs and charities who don’t traditionally engage with cyber services, either out of confusion, apathy, or simply a fear that it’s all too difficult and expensive.

Mark will discuss;

  • The role of the cyber resilience centres in supporting small businesses, and growing the cyber sector
  • Basic protections for small businesses, and how the CRCs can benefit larger partners too
  • The student services pipeline, and how CRCs are helping to support students in cyber roles

Hear from Paul Croker, who during 20+ years’ experience has solved IT challenges for Accountants, Financial and Engineering firms including the UK division of a pan-European Space Company and was part of the joint European CISO team looking after IT security.

18iT provides IT Strategy as a service to the SME market. One of Paul's passions is to help companies understand their cyber risks to minimise the threat of attack. 18iT different approach has helped many small business owners with email migrations and migrations to cloud services ensuring data remains safe and secure.

Paul will be talking about how we can help make your business a “tougher nut to crack” by adding layers of security. Some of these are free and can be enabled today!

  • What is MFA?
  • Why should I protect my social media accounts? (even my personal one?)

  • Do you have a risk register?

If you have said to yourself – What is that to any of the points above, then you definitely need to attend our straight talking easy to understand session!
