Course Details

The five-day virtual course, which runs from 14:00 – 17:00 GMT each day, will cover understanding travel risks, developing a travel-related risk assessment and traveller’s briefing as well as building an organisation’s travel directives and incident management plan.

The course addresses roles of key individuals including the occupational safety and health practitioner; identifying, assessing and managing health, security and safety risks; travellers’ briefings and participation in incident management.

The goal of the course is for the participant to develop a clear understanding of the role of the occupational safety and health practitioner in managing travel safety, health and security with a view to building a travel safety, health and security culture within the organisation including an overall understanding of the identification and management of associated risks, and travellers’ briefings and incident management.

After the completion of the course, there will be a post-course practical assignment. Once the assignment is completed, participants will be awarded their certificate. Training Terms and Conditions

Organiser International SOS Foundation

Organiser of Safety, Health and Security for the Mobile Worker | 6-10 December

Launched in October 2011, the International SOS Foundation has the goal of improving the safety, security, health and welfare of people working abroad or on remote assignments through the study, understanding and mitigation of potential risks.

The escalation of globalisation has enabled more individuals to work across borders and in unfamiliar environments; exposure to risks which can impact personal health, security and safety increases along with travel. The Foundation is a registered charity and was started with a grant from International SOS. It is a fully independent, not-for-profit organisation.
