Saharna 🎶

An evening showcase of poetic artistry, immersive visuals and breakthrough DJ’s providing ground-shaking blends of Arabic and UK music from the past and present.

So we are preparing a very special fiesta for you Londoners with a very special spoken artists and dj guests.

Coming to take the dance floor and dive into a journey full of trippy sounds from the east, full of percussion and warm synths with the right strings 🎵

The event is curated by Dj Saliah.

- DJ SALIAH

Dj Saliah is a British-Lebanese; competition-winning DJ and evolving producer. Renowned for her unique blends of acapellas, heavy baselines, popular Arabic grooves, and ground-shaking electronic Arabesque. Saliah’s curated selection and stage presence is guaranteed to bring the energy that draws in the crowds.

Saliah has supported MOBO-Award-Winning Lady Leshurr and BBC Introducing’s Miss Melody. Her performances have opened for the likes of Nicky Blackmarket, Juliana Yazbeck, Al Sarah & Nubatones and Shkoon.

- DJ NOOR PALETTE:

DJ and radio presenter Noor Palette plays upbeat popular records infused with Middle Eastern and North African sounds. Previously opening for the likes of AWAN festival, Haramacy and Pride of Arabia, DJ Noor Palette is guaranteed to lift your mood and get you up, dancing and having a great time.

- SARA EL-HARRAK:

Sara El Harrak is a British-Moroccan DJ, presenter, journalist and poet fully immersed in the world of radio and poetry. She presents a monthly music show on Netil radio and has guested on Worldwide FM, NTS and Balamii. Sara has had her spoken word praised by Floacist and The Last Poets.

- LINA ASHOUR:

Lina is an Egyptian, feminist writer and poet. Combining Arabic and English, she also likes to layer mediums to explore the diasporic in-betweens. She studied politics, communication, gender and sexuality, and is involved in publishing and community organising.

- RIWA SAAB:

Riwa Saab is an interdisciplinary artist that specializes in spoken word poetry, singing/song-writing, and theatre-making. Her work recounts and reimagines personal life experiences while framing them in a wider sociopolitical context. She began her creative journey in Beirut where she grew up, and is currently studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
