In a costumed monologue performance, Saleah takes you on her personal journey, based on the true-life experiences of her family and others from the Windrush Generation.
Anika Wilson plays her character Saleah an elderly Jamaican now living in England.
Saleah will take you on an interactive journey which follows her life growing up in Jamaica and her journey from Jamaica to post war Britain to join her ex service-man husband Hubert. She brings her living memories to life using a number of artefacts that serves as ‘memory prompts’ for the audience. The performance is filled with history, love, laughter and song. It encourages audience participation and will take you on a wonderful trip down memory lane'.
