Millions of customers visit your stores, however only a fraction of them end up getting covered into potential customers. This means, we don't need more customers, we just need to get better at engaging with the ones we already have!

The marketplace is becoming more competitive and it is no longer possible to run a business without a very strong focus on the customer. Today there are many more retailers competing with each other and customers are much more aware through social media and e-commerce of what good service in-store looks like. The phrase of "If we don't take care of our customers somebody else will", has never been more important than it is today. This is why having a culture of consistent customer engagement is necessary.

This workshop recognizes this need and has laid clear emphasis on "Service Management" and its relevance to numbers. "Service Management", is a total organizational approach that makes Quality of Service, as perceived by the customer, the number one driving force for the operations of the business.

The Key to success of customer engagement is making sure it is alive on the sales floor and this comes from the commitment and actions from the Store Manager. In order for the new skills to be embedded into stores daily routine the Store Manager is expected to lead from the front AND displaying/ demonstrating the engagement skills themselves on the shop floor.

Mark is the COO of Retailademy and has a prolific retail career spanning 30 years, starting on the shop floor, to being a member of the board as Retail Director and most recently Senior Leadership roles in the UK and Middle East. He has international multi sector experience, including men's fashion, women's fashion, electrical, home decor, gifts, children's apparel / non apparel.

Mark mentored, advised and consulted for International Retail Board executives on strategy development, leadership & behavioural change and process alignment to gain optimum efficiency whilst keeping focus on sales and the customer. He has led sales teams to achieve unbelievable results including over 200 stores achieving up to 6 months sales in just one weekend. Mark challenges the norms of retail operations helping cut through the noise to focus on what?s really important and makes the difference within your operation.

A highly acclaimed expert in the field of virtual leadership; He has been conducting keynotes and coaching teams on operating and leading change across multiple countries / locations streamlining operations whilst executing higher standards of performance. He has developed operational excellence programs accredited by the George Washington University and a unique virtual leadership master class program "Driving high performance through effective leadership" aimed at multi site operators and multi country leaders sharing techniques used by the best of the best from around the world.
