Our hugely-popular tours take place when the museum is closed to the public, and offer a unique insight into some of the museum's highlights, as well as many lesser-known but equally fascinating objects which are normally hidden away.

You’ll get to see some of the collections tucked away in the museum’s stores and learn about the Kings House itself, as well as some of the extraordinary collectors who have contributed to the museum as we know it today – all appropriately distanced, of course.

The tours are suitable for all ages, and all levels and areas of interest.

To ensure your visit is safe and enjoyable, we have limited the size of each group, and appropriate measures are in place at the museum and throughout the tour.

We would ask you please to read the following guidelines before you arrive for your tour:

• Please book 1 ticket for each person visiting, including children (except children under 5 who can enter free of charge), as total numbers must be limited for each group.

• Please bring your Eventbrite e-ticket or confirmation email with you.

• If you are a member, please bring your membership card to show on arrival.

• Please arrive within 10 minutes of your booking time to minimise queuing. Unfortunately, we may not be able to admit late arrivals.

• Please observe social distancing at all times, and follow the museum’s COVID-Secure measures as explained by our team. Do ask for guidance if anything is unclear at any point. Face-coverings are now mandatory for visitors inside the museum. Full details of our safe-visiting measures can be found on the museum website.

• We would ask that any visitors displaying symptoms do not visit – please contact us by email at museum@salisburymuseum.org.uk if you are unwell or otherwise unable to attend.

• Should we have to cancel tours due to COVID, then tickets will be exchangeable for future dates, or fully refundable.

• Please note the shop and the rest of the museum will not be open during the tour.
