Hi welcome to our screen booking! With this ticket you will see 2 short films, Salted Caramel chips and Dead end Street!
Salted Caramel Chips is a character-led comedy-drama follows Ava, a girl desperate to make ‘Ursula’s Unexpected Eats’, her food van, successful in honour of her deceased mother. With the help of Ava’s stepsister, Libby, the two make their way to win the cash prize at the Am-Van Food Festival. But, can they put aside their differences to work together? Or will Ava realise that maybe it’s not all about winning?
Dead End Street is a hipster comedy short film written by Mafalda de Jesus and directed by Harvey Lewis. The film focuses on a wealthy, dysfunctional family who after their patriarch’s passing, slowly started to drift apart and the sacrifices they are willing to make in order to either fulfill or detach themselves from the expectations they’re left with. It explores themes such as grief, family conflict and loss, being it of ambition, freedom or even of principles.
