An international showcase of musicians, artists, dancers, puppeteers and community groups, in India, Kenya, Zambia, Scotland and Jordan!

It is a bit of an experiment with live and online audiences in different countries, and musicians and artists calling in from rehearsal spaces, public venues and living rooms from around the world!

For the Edinburgh event at Bellfield in Portobello, we'll have a live showcase of musicians and songwriters, with international acts from Samata Sessions streamed in live on a projector.

Jagriti - puppet show & musicians in Delhi, India.

Project Elimu - youth centre and dance school in Kibera, Kenya.

Tareq Jundi - Oud player and composer in Jordan

Hassadah Louis - poet and artist in Zambia.

Tinderbox Collective - songwriters and musicans in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Samata Sessions is the start of a new collective of local artists and community groups in different countries. We’ll be organising some online gigs and showcases, writing music and making artworks together, and generally looking for ways to collaborate and bring people together through creative projects.
