Join Us for a Samba Foundations Workshop with George Louzada. Award-winning Artistic Director, Passista Director, and choreographer for Rio de Janeiro Carnival’s #1 Passista Ala — Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel

This workshop is designed to strengthen your core samba skills and expand your freestyle confidence. George will guide you through:

  • Hip technique and twisting drills
  • Arm alignment and expressive movement
  • Entering and exiting the samba with intention
  • Short choreographic sequences for freestyle use
  • Dancing to enredo's and bateria
  • The latest samba trends and evolving styles from Rio

The workshop will be delivered in two parts and is for both female and male dancers:

Part One – Technique & Foundation

A focus on body mechanics, posture, core movement patterns, and musicality.

Part Two – Style, Sequences & Freestyle

Incorporating short phrases, performance energy, improvisation techniques, and real Carnival-inspired flair.
