SAMH & Firrhill Highschool - 'Listening to and supporting my child' (S1-S3)

By Firrhill Highschool Parent Council

Overview

Workshops for parents and carers of S1-S3 students

Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) are delivering this free workshop initially to provide parents and carers of S1-S3 with the knowledge and skills to have mental health conversations with their child.

They explore the different stresses that children and young people experience in their lives which can impact their mental health and wellbeing. The workshop will help parents and carers learn how to start conversations including finding the right time, place and way to communicate and how to support their child even when they do not want to talk about how they are feeling.

This is a wonderful opportunity to understand our children's needs at every stage of their learning through both their education and general growth and wellbeing.

Please visit their website for further insight and support at www.samh.org.uk

Light refreshments will be provided.
