Come and join us a very special Samhain Tattoo & Tarot event.
The ancient Celtic people called this time of year Shamhain (Now Halloween), it signaled the end of harvest and the beginning of winter. They believed this was a powerful moment when the veil between the worlds grew thin, a time when the living could commune with their ancestors and receive visions of what was to come.
Bonfires were lit for protection, offerings were made to honour the dead, and practices of divination and ritual were carried out to gain clarity for the year ahead. Samhain was not only about death, but about transformation and renewal, shedding what no longer serves, and carrying the wisdom of the old into the new cycle.
We honour this tradition at The Light House through the symbolism of tattoo and the insight of tarot, shedding what no longer serves, and carrying the wisdom of the old into the new cycle.
You will receive a tarot reading and a tattoo of your choice done by Nathan, either from our flash or custom design (up to palm size and must be agreed beforehand) .
A little about our Tarot reader - I happened across Matthew by chance, he came in to view the studio for an event hire but we ended up having a full blown tarot reading and healing session. I knew straight away that he was a perfect fit for this event and know the day will be special and powerful held by us three. He is a psychospiritual Coach, Guide and Alchemist. With a background in counselling psychology, and a well of wisdom from various spiritual practices, his mission is to guide those back into a deeper relationship with self and the embrace the divine through a grounded trauma-informed approach.
