Perfect Samosa presents:

Master the Art of Samosa Making’ in a passionately crafted and expert-led two-part workshop a fortnight apart!

Workshop 1: Samosa Making: 'The Perfect Pastry', Wednesday April 24th

Workshop 2: Samosa Making: Cooking the Most Divine Filling'. Wednesday May 8th

Each class functions as a stand-alone class in its own right but the real benefit is gained from attending both classes to master both parts of the two distinct factions to samosa making: pastry production and filling cooking. This event is to book for Workshop 1: Samosa Making: The Perfect Pastry.

Both workshops will consist of:

1. A welcome drinks reception

2. Home-prepared appetisers and nibbles

3. An expert masterclass into Samosa Making by hosts Sanya and Kay from Perfect Samosa. Either ‘The Perfect Pastry’ or ‘Cooking the Most Divine Filling’.

4. Unique understanding of the samosa making process.

5. A presentation box to take home your creation of 12 personalised samosas.

6. A highly insightful, engaging, fun evening throughout.

Workshop 1 – Samosa Making: The Perfect Pastry



This is a pastry-focussed workshop, where students will discover how to produce the perfect pastry for light, crispy samosas. The class will cover origami folding methods for the Perfect Samosa and unique insight into our signature finishing techniques. Students will then get a masterclass into how to cook the pastry to perfection for right texture and flavour every time. Tips, tricks, useful insight and anecdotes will be shared throughout from the most experienced samosa producers in the North West.


Samosa and Mimosa

All students will get a welcome drink on arrival, a selection of home-prepared appetisers and a chance to get know the other attendees in the group. The workshop will be interactive, engaging, and fun. Fall in love with cooking again, revolutionise your starters at home, impress all your friends and loved ones!

What is a Samosa?

For those still in doubt, a samosa is a triangular shaped food item, of Indian origin, encased in pastry and filled with various, exquisite fillings which can be both sweet or savoury, the latter of which combines blends of spices and herbs.

Leading the class are Perfect Samosa who comprise of presenter and samosa specialist Sanya and trained chef Kay. Founders of the award-winning samosa brand Perfect Samosa which has been trading for over three years. Perfect Samosa is an innovative, artisan samosa specialist company that has a strong street food and farmer’s market presence all over the North West, in particular Manchester, Liverpool and Chester. Having produced samosas for over 1500 festivals, markets and exhibitions and events, there is nothing you need to know about a samosa that Kay and Sanya can’t tell you! This is the ultimate place to learn the ancient craft of samosa making in a comfortable, professional environment.

About the location

Halewood Academy is a specialised educational institute in Liverpool. The high spec training kitchens where the classes are held are fully kitted out perfect for each student to learn in their own cooking area with their own cooking equipment and utensils.
