An evening exploring darkness, space and technology; film screening, virtual reality experience, fireside discussion & star-gazing walk
Join us for an outdoor screening of the classic 1950’s science fiction movie Forbidden Planet. Following the film, take part in a fireside discussion on technology; past, present and future and experience the latest virtual reality technology or take a journey into darkness on a guided night-time star gazing walk.
(Please note the film is different from that advertised in the South West Picture Show brochure)
8pm - 9.30pm :

9.30 - 10.30pm :
Fireside discussion on technology; past, present and future and virtual reality experience with Ben Taylor from Glasgow Film Theatre. Free
Stargazing walk with Keith Muir from The Galloway Forest Dark Skies Park. Free
The fireside discussion and stargazing walk take place at the same time so please choose which event interests you most. Both these events are free, however places are limited. Please book a ticket to ensure that you have a place.
Dress warm with sturdy footwear. It will be dark so please bring a torch.
The event is outdoors, but there is shelter in the event of rain. Chairs will be provided.
