The biggest outdoor South Asian Music event in the North of Britain. Radio Sangam and Sangam Festival brings you a day of music, fun and joy

About this event

Radio Sangam and Sangam Festival, as part of the month long Sangam Festival bring to you a musical extravaganza. This is the Asian Glastonbury and in the NORTH. World leading artists such as Garry Sandhu, Zack Knight, Roach Killa, Bambi Bains, Ezu, KZie, Ahmad Rubani and SYK and Tariq Khan Legacy, will bring to you their latest and chart topping hits throughout the day.

Please note, this is an outdoor event. Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing. This is a family event, no alcohol is permitted and bag searches will be carried out prior to entry. Non ticket holders will be refused entry.

All artists and the line up is confirmed. The organisation reserve the right to alter the line up for circumstances beyond our control. No refunds will be made if the line up changes.

Organiser Sangam Festival

Organiser of Sangam Festival Open Air Concert

A new Festival launched across Kirklees this summer, with a mix of venue-based, outdoor and digital events. Sangam Festival: A Celebration of South Asian Heritage has secured support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants to run during South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM): 18 July – 17 August 2021.

The Festival will include heritage, arts and cultural events, including talks and trails on the history of textiles and mill workers in the area; workshops exploring family history; art and photography exhibitions; film screenings; dance and music performance from Bollywood brass bands to classical Qawalli inspired by Sufi poetry. Some events will be delivered in partnership with other local festivals, community organisations and educational facilities.
