The Village Storytelling centre hosts these new commissioned performances as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2025. Platforming the voices of Glasgow based artists from across the Scottish Storytelling scene these performances reflect the shifting, complex identity of Glasgow new and old:
What We Talk about When We Talk about Life - Scottish- Mauritian storyteller, Steph Morris, invites you to share in her personal experience of Glaswegian culture. ‘What We Talk about When We Talk about Life’ is an autobiographical show about love and loss, dreams and disappointments and the art of picking yourself back up and trying all over again. A warm, funny and thought provoking exploration of identity, with live music performed by Cit Lennox.
Three Voices: Stories in Glasgow Join Peilin Shi, Josey-ann Green, and Liam Campbell, for an exciting new feature length storytelling performance about growing-up, moving-in, and getting-on in Glasgow. This performance brings together three emerging storytellers whose radically different styles and backgrounds create unique, surprising, creative, and highly entertaining collaborations. From intergenerational migration and multilingual folk ritual to Glaswegian humour and queer working-class heritage; expect laughs, tunes, sincere personal stories, and a few surprises along the way.
