Come and join us in Trafalgar Square as we celebrate 10 years of Sankofa Day, a family day filled with celebration where we come together to educate, celebrare and inspire.

Sankofa Day ~ the People's Memorial, is an annual memorial to remember and honour the victims of the Transatlantic Human Trafficking and Enslavement Period, celebrate the beginning of the Haitian Revolution (23/08) and mark UNESCO’s International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition which shares the same date.

This is a free event, however, if you want to support our work, donation tickets are available.We’re a volunteer-run organisation and Sankofa Day is an entirely self-funded event. We receive no external funding or support.
