Event description

Description

Legendary Congolese musician, Santana Mongoley, once lead guitarist for Papa Wemba, will be re-emerging his presence in the London music scene. After marking his spot in Belguim, France and Switzerland, Santana Mongoley and his newly formed 6 piece band will bring their Congolese Ramba Soukous Zouk to London's Grow, Hackney bringing you a taste of former Zaire for one night only

The warm-up and opener of the night will be R&B neo-soul singer PRVNA and her 3 piece band, boasting hypnotic vocals and jazzy dance grooves.

All musicians combined, will close the night with a unique and uplifting fusion of a seventies Congolese sound meeting, the soul and grit of today's South London!

DJs on the night include Niks Delanancy of WXMB 2 and Noods, J Muller of Music Box Radio and Sky, who will be keeping the high energy with Afro-Jazz, Tech and World music
