Event description

The Weston Supper Club is excited to welcome the fantastic Mexican Chef, Edson Diaz-Fuentes, to come and cook at William Sitwell’s Northamptonshire home on Friday March 22.

Edson Diaz-Fuentes is a critically acclaimed chef of Mexican food and the chef-owner of the hugely popular Mexican restaurant Santo Remedio, which has been listed in both the Michelin Guide 2019 and Good Food Guide 2019. Santo Remedio has won praise from a host of food critics including Jay Rayner, Giles Coren and Tim Hayward. Edson trained under renowned chef Alejandro Ruiz at Casa Oaxaca in Oaxaca City, regarded as the mecca of Mexican food, which was named as one of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants in 2014. Born in Mexico City, Edson is passionate about cooking authentic, regional food with vibrant colours and exquisite flavours. The evening starts with drinks at 7pm in the Drawing Room and Library. Dinner starts at 7.30pm sharp. There'll be delicious cocktails on offer matching Northamptonshire Warner Edwards Gin with delectable Double Dutch tonics. Edson will also be creating a traditional Mexican Cocktail - Mezcalita Verde with fruit juices for guests as well as a Tequila based Mexican Cocktail to accompany dessert. After Drinks, guests will be treated to Edson’s famous (and delicious!) grasshoppers, followed by three fantastic mains and finally, a chocolate dessert. Mexican coffee from Oaxaca and Mexican Cedron tea will be served after dinner.
