Event description

Description

Sarah Hargreaves is a Senior Consultant at Resource Futures, a local ethical sustainability consultancy. Her work in behaviour change spans the UK helping communities, local councils and private sector businesses encourage people to use resources more sustainably. Sarah is currently co-leading the food waste element of the Bristol, city-wide bid to gain gold accreditation as a Sustainable Food City – a project known as Going for Gold. She also set up the Bath FoodCycle hub, a charity which provides free meals to those in need using surplus food.

Sarah's talk will be on food waste in Bristol, relating to the exciting work currently underway across Bristol as part of the Going for Gold project. Sarah will discuss how food waste is relevant to everyone, and talk about how people can engage with food waste to the benefit of themselves, their communities and the city as a whole.

This event is part of a programme of talks taking place at Children's Scrapstore's Community Reuse Festival, 28-29th September 2019. For more information please visit our website - https://www.childrensscrapstore.co.uk/reuse-festival
