Sarah Shortt's 'not so short' swim across the English Channel!
Wed 19 April 2017, 19:00 – 20:30 BST
Have you ever wondered what it takes to excel in a big physical challenge?
Would you like to follow your dreams, live a life less shaped by limitations and poor self-confidence?
Have you ever said to yourself, 'one day I will do that', but the right moment never seems to come?
Are you living a life shaped by the expectations of others and not your own?
Please don't convince yourself that it is not worth trying because you were at the bottom of the pile when it came to handing out genetic gifts!
We can all be and do better than we are today. All it takes is a clear goal, plenty of passion, a strong 'why', and the self belief to keep moving forwards....no matter what!
Here is your opportunity to come along to this inspirational seminar by long-distance swimmer Sarah Shortt, who in her mid-40's, and not coming from a lifelong swimming background, decided to complete one of the big open water swimming challenges - crossing the English channel!
Learn about her training, her attitude, the obstacles which she had to overcome (injury, tides, jellyfish, extreme cold) and more. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and meet the lovely lady herself.
The seminar itsef is free, but we are asking all attendees to make a £5 donation to Macmillan on the night.
We have limited seating, so please only secure a ticket if you fully intend to turn up!
