Highlights
Sat Sri Akal! Hello!
For September, the winner is How to Leave the House (by Nathan Newman). 📖✨
Come read with others from the Sarbat community. We have a dedicated whatsapp group where we can chat while we are all reading individually, and during the virtual meeting we discuss our feelings, thoughts, and draw connections with Sikhi/life. 🌟
We know stuff happens and days can fly by, so everyone is still welcome to the discussion even if they don’t finish reading but are open to spoilers.
In the past we have touched various intersectionalities, from queer identities, race/ethnic/national origins, immigrant experiences, and more. All levels of experience with reading are welcome! 🎉
Zoom details will be sent to those registered nearer the date of the event.
Fabrizio about the Sarbat Reads book club: “Joining Sarbat Reads has been a great experience. The sense of community is truly extraordinary — warm, welcoming, and deeply respectful. Through calm, thoughtful discussions of books, we've explored not just literature, but life itself. I've come to know the other members in such a profound way, simply by sharing perspectives, stories, and silence. It's a space that nourishes both the mind and the heart.”
