About this event
The Mool Mantar is a meditation and the very first teachings of Guru Nanak. It centres around unity, truth, and spirituality.
We’re proud to invite you to our 2025 series of events, offering a variety of engaging formats—whether online or in-person, interactive or reflective. Registration (for the relevant event date) is essential to stay tuned for the latest updates and on our social media channels.

1. January - Ik Onkar – Unity in Diversity - (Online Kulbir Sandhu)
- Focus: Celebrate unity among diverse identities.
- An open discussion circle where members share their personal journeys, celebrating both their Sikh faith and LGBT identity.
2. February - Sat Naam – Truthful Living - (Online - Kulbir/Pritpal)
- Focus: Embracing authenticity and truth.
- A storytelling night where members share experiences of living truthfully as Sikh LGBT individuals.
3. March - Karta Purakh – Creative Spirit (Online - Jasvir D)
- Focus: Expressing creativity
- To inspire participants to express creativity based on selected verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, reflecting Sikh values of love, oneness, and devotion.
4. April - Nirbhau – Living Without Fear - (Online - Shraddha K & Kiran SKG)
- Focus: Overcoming fear and embracing courage.
- A speaker or a panel discussion featuring talking about overcoming societal challenges and building confidence. Ending with a Kirtan focussing on Fearlessness by Kiran.
5. May - Nirvair – Living Without Hate (Online - Dharam and Mohan Aulakh)
- Focus: Fostering love and acceptance.
- A discussion with Mohan about Hidden Lives, a documentary exploring lives of queer individuals in rural North India. currently in crowd funding stage and being directed and writted by Mohan Singh Aulakh and his previous work. Timed to accommodate wider time zone preferences.
6. June - Akaal Moorat – Timelessness (Online - Kiran SKG)
- Focus: Reflecting on timeless values.
- A meditation session centered around timeless Sikh teachings, followed by a group reflection on how these apply to LGBT experiences.
July event has been rescheduled to take place in September.
7. September - Ajooni – Beyond Birth and Death (Kulbir)
- Focus: Embracing non-duality.
- An online spiritual dialogue exploring reincarnation, karma, and the Sikh perspective on transcendence beyond physical identity, especially in the context of gender and sexual fluidity.
8. October - Saibhang – Self-Reliance/Resilience (Dharam)
- Focus: Empowering self-reliance.
- A skill sharing session foster independence, such as financial planning or mental health strategies. Structure and format currently being decided.
9. November - Gur Prasad – Grace Through the Guru (Jasvir)
- Focus: Finding grace in everyday life.
- A gratitude and grace session where members express gratitude for personal and collective blessings, followed by a reflective discussion on how Sikh teachings guide them in their personal journeys.
