Description
Sark Roots Festival is back for its third year! Hosted on the beautiful Island of Sark, this event is a celebration of land, sea and community, promoting local initiatives with a global conscience. A weekend of music, workshops, food and fun!
With permaculture ethics at its heart, DIVERSITY is the key.
With a fusion of International and Channel Island bands we bring you a wide range of live music from folk, ska, reggae, klezmer, steam-punk, rock, indie, to techno and drum & bass.
In the spirit of knowledge sharing, a diverse selection of workshops will be on offer including African drumming, belly dancing, slacklining, juggling, yoga, contact improvisation, animal flow, movement medicine, reflexology, guided meditation, breathwork with gong bathing, energy healing, colour therapy, Kirtan, nutrition and kefir/energy balls, permaculture with Aranya, seaweed demonstrations, wood working, family art workshops and more!
Walks include a star walk to the islands observatory, permaculture garden walk, foraging and a compost shower design demonstration.
There will be loads for the kids to do in the creative, theatrical, and messy play area located centrally for parent’s convenience. Designed for kids of all ages!
Arts and crafts will include lantern making, weaving, knitting and more.
Enjoy local food and local brews while overlooking stunning views of neighbouring islands, sea, moonrise and sunset.
