Event description
A week of online events in the build-up to SASA 2021's virtual conference, run by the Scottish Association for the Study of America

About this event

To celebrate the Scottish Association for the Study of America's move online for its virtual conference on 6 March 2021, the SASA Committee is hosting a series of events in the week before the conference, between Tuesday 2 March-Friday 5 March. This includes virtual tours exploring African American slave and free peoples' connections to Scotland specifically and to Britain more broadly, a quiz evening, and a keynote paper delivered by the winner of SASA's 2021 Ellen Craft Essay Prize. Full details of each event are below - tickets for each event are free, and must be booked separately. SALES END AT 4pm (UK time) the day before the event. Some of these events have reduced ticket numbers but we have waiting lists should events sell out. Log in details for each event (which will be hosted over Zoom) will be sent out to attendees closer to each event - please note the times are UK evening time. We look forward to seeing you there! And keep following SASA's Twitter and Facebook pages for regular updates about #SASA2021
