Breathe new life into your old or damaged clothes and pick up new hand sewing skills with this satisfying traditional textile technique. This form of decorative reinforcement can be used to embellish all kinds of items and makes repaired clothes stronger, warmer and more visually striking.

You will learn about the fascinating history behind Sashiko while creating your own designs. Your teacher will provide plenty of exemplars, templates , encouragement and inspiration. This is a great activity for avoiding textile waste and is a fun, easy-to-pick-up technique that is very mindful, relaxing and soothing. You will leave the workshop excited to apply your new skills.

All materials provided and you are welcome to bring your own clothes to work on too.

Suitable for beginners and all levels of stitching experience.

Over 14 only ( under 16 accompanied by a paying adult)
