Learn simple Japanese Sashiko 🪡🧵

Time: drop in anytime between 10am - 12:30

Location: WA14 5SS

The Chapel is a place of creativity & calm, we offer Quiet Days, art workshops and events to improve mental health & wellbeing, centred in peaceful natural surroundings.Particularly suitable if you like working with your hands in a calm atmosphere, why not drop in anytime between 10 - 12:30 and join us in simple Japanese Sashiko hand stitching. You can stay for as much or as little time as you wish. This is a regular monthly group that meets for this mindful activity 🪡🧵 typically the last Thu of the month. We are stitching denim Sashiko squares to contribute to a larger artwork as park of NHS Manchester's mental health Sashiko Project. It will typically take you 40-60mins to stitch a denim square, maybe a little longer for your first one, depending on the design you decide to try.

No experience is necessary, we will guide you through the process step by step. We're happy to offer this group activity for free if you're able to contribute your stitched square to the wider art project. Alternatively you're welcome to take your creation away with you for a donation in order to support the Chapel's resources.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing our love of creativity. You are welcome to enjoy the garden seating and the surrounding country views at any time during your visit
