Details of session

This is a taught session and is suitable for all, full written instructions are provided by email from info@reconnecting.org.uk a few days before thesession.

This stitching pattern is stitched on cloth, no hoop is needed, cotton and denim work well, stretchy fabrics should be avoided. Perle no. 8 (any brand) is a good substitute for Sashiko thread and can be bought for a reasonable price at many retail outlets on and offline. You will also need a sharp needle a ruler and a fabric marker or chalk pen.

If you need help with sourcing suppliers please ask for help, you may also wish to visit our Etsy shop as we sell many stencils for Sashiko. Sets one and nine are designed to help you layout patterns easily. https://reconnectingcic.etsy.com
