Description
The Satellite Applications Catapult is hosting a Satellite Applications Hackathon event on the weekend of 8-9 June 2013. It will take place at the Electron Building, on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Taking place at the prestigious, world-leading Satellite Applications Catapult facility, we invite you to help us generate innovative ideas and solutions using space-satellite technologies in response to challenges in sectors like Transport, Healthcare, Natural resources, Climate & Environmental Monitoring etc. The two-day ‘Apps in Space' event is part of a series of activities in response to several challenges set by the Catapult and its associated partners.

Registration for the Hackathon is FREE

FREE shuttle-bus service provided by the facility to take you to and from the nearby train station (Didcot Parkway) which is only 10 minutes away.

A very rare opportunity...you can also sleep over at in this high-tech, world-leading facility!!...so bring a sleeping bag, pillow and anything else to make yourself comfortable if you're lucky enough to grab a couple of hours of sleep during the hackathon!

Food, snacks and drinks will also be provided for FREE
The Hackathon is open to anyone who would like to participate – software developers, engineers, technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, students and entrepreneurs – anyone who has a passion to help change the world.
