Join us for Saturday Art Club, a range of workshops designed for children aged 7-11.

Work with printmaking artist Ranya Abdulateef to explore block printing to create shapes and patterns onto paper on this print workshop. Learn how to create your own relief printing blocks and use water-based inks in our Print Studio.

Explore pattern and colour to create your own cards and wrapping papers to take home.

Ranya Abdulateef

Ranya is a textile artist based in Wakefield. Founder of MelograniArt embroidery and a member of the Merrie collective. She has a varied practice including printing, embroidery, illustration, painting as well as photography which are all inspired by nature. Her practice takes her away from any negativity and pressure she feels - she finds it rewarding to see it transform into the development of her skills and continuous learning of art and design.

Who is the Workshop for?

This workshop is for children aged 7 - 11 years old. Due to capacity within the print studio parents/guardians are encouraged to enjoy a drink and a slice of cake from our delicious coffee house whilst their child attends the session!

Do I Need to Bring Anything?

All equipment and tools will be provided for the session. We recommend children to wear old clothes or bring an apron in case they get a bit messy!

Course Booking Terms and Conditions

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite's booking fee is non-refundable.

Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day.

In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason, for example, due to tutor illness or if lockdown measures are put back in place your ticket will be refunded in full.
