Event description

Description

Saturday Art Club offers children aged 7-11 from Argyll & Bute the unique opportunity to explore their creativity at free sessions.

Led by professional, experienced creative practitioners Jenny Hunter and Soizig Carey, regular Saturday Art Club sessions provide children with the time and freedom to play and experiment with materials, techniques and processes in a safe and enjoyable space. Working alone and with other participants they will learn about form, colour, shape and construction, enhancing their artistic and design talent.

Club sessions will take inspiration from the creative setting of Scotland's international artist residency centre and see residents lead some sessions.

Please note, places are offered to children who haven't previously attended Saturday Art Club in the first instance so as to maximise the opportunity for more local children to attend and enjoy the regular Club sessions running until Summer 2018.

The confirmed Summer 2017 Term dates for Saturday Art Club at Cove Park are Saturdays from 10:00-12:30 on 29 April, 6, 13, 20 & 27 May, 3 & 10 June 2017.

Please note, Club sessions will take place in the Artist Centre. If you have any queries about access please contact Cove Park in advance.

Saturday Art Club is part of Hands-On Cove Park, a programme of creative events, workshops and talks for people in Argyll & Bute. Find out more about the programme and sign up for updates here and see details of current activities here.

Hands-On Cove Park is funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and The Robertson Trust.
