Yoga Trance Dance with Ariana Bates is an opportunity to break free and drop into the heart beat; a space to "move the way love moves.” Shiva Rea
Do you remember that feeling when the music takes over your body and movement becomes effortless? Take a minute to close your eyes and remember...Swirling around in the trance like sahaja movement of meditation. In Sanskrit, the word Sahaja means spontaneously. How much of your life is spent in Sahaja or moving spontaneously? In the modern world, we all have appointments, responsibilities, routines, alarm clocks, marathons to run and yoga sequences to do. A great deal of our day is spent following the rules inside the lines. My heart is calling in more space for creativity and magic; my body is calling for the freedom to move.
Yoga Trance Dance®, created by Shiva Rea, is a contemporary exploration of the spirit of dance within yoga. Beginning with prana vinyasa yoga, yoga trance dance flows into an exploration of free-form, breath driven movement to liberate one’s creative life force and cultivate embodied freedom.
Ariana embodies living yoga as a daily practice of love and service. Ariana Bates shares Yoga Trance Dance® at yoga teacher trainings and at Festivals, like the Sedona Yoga Festival, San Fran Green Fest, Mantra Mela, Love Long Beach Fest and the Flow Fest Australia 2017. A California native with a global vision, Ariana is a resident teacher at Ecstatic Dance LA, Agape International, Yogalution and leads Yoga Retreats. She is the Co-Founder of Free Yoga On The Beach which offers free yoga twice daily with the root intention of yoga for everybody. Ariana is a life long learner, and her education includes: BA in Psychology, MA in Counseling, 500 RYT, Shiva Rea Samudra Global Yoga School, Assisting Shiva Rea Yoga Teacher Trainings and Cloud 9 Yoga. http://www.arianabates.com
