Description
Mobile Print Studio x Still Not Quite Studio - Futurist Printmaking
Join Still Not Quite Studio and Mobile Print Studio for an exciting collaborative workshop where you will work as a group to discuss and draw objects from plausible futures and then translate into Drypoint etchings to take away with you.
Work with speculative design studio Still Not Quite to generate ideas around the potential future of The Glasgow School of Art’s Mackintosh building, discussing how its use might evolve as it is renovated.
How could the beloved ‘Mack’ could be used as a public building? What objects or services would inhabit it if it was to be open the citizens of Glasgow?
Mobile Print Studio will then demonstrate how to develop images created during the exploratory stage of the workshop as drypoint etching plates to print and take away. This will involve using metal styluses to etch designs into aluminium plates, incorporating various mark making techniques to build up tone. We will be using small thin plates which can easily be shaped with scissors, so this will be a fun introduction to the medium.
****PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is located on the 1st floor which is only accessible via stairs. If you have any questions or queries about accessibility please get in touch - hello@agile-city.com****

Saturday School is a day of creative workshops.
Every month, we will fill the spaces of Civic House with workshops led by practitioners working across mixed disciplines. Our aim is to create a stimulating environment for testing new ideas, learning through making and sharing skills and knowledge.
Spend the day developing a new skill, exploring a practice or learning about new topics and subjects. Then, from 7pm share a meal with everyone who's taken part in the workshops served by the Civic House Kitchen team.
From 8pm onwards, Civic House will host AFTER SCHOOL CLUB, an evening of performances and live music with HEALTHY and friends. These evening events are free for workshop participants and open to the public.
