Saturday Science Club Abingdon: Feed the Birds Day
Event Information
Description
Saturday, 3rd February 2018
To celebrate International Feed The Birds Day this brilliantly beaky bird-themed workshop for 5-9 year olds will be exploring how birds adapt to and survive in their environment. Our young explorers will be ‘voyaging’ overseas to Darwin’s Galapagos Islands to meet some feathery inhabitants and playing evolution-based games that involve spoons, straws, chopsticks and BBQ tongs! Pecked with problem-solving bird-based fun, it’s a great chance to learn about how animals overcome nature’s challenges.
We should all remember to feed the birds in our gardens this winter, as it is hard for them to find food in the cold weather, so everyone will get the chance to make a pine cone bird feeder to take home!
