About this event

Hobbies • Other

A fun and immersive 3 hour workshop designed for beginners. You will get to experiment with hand carving a unique pendant design of your choice in the medium of cuttlefish bone, or alternatively pressing a small 3D object into the bone to then be guided through the casting process using recycled silver scrap.

Leave with a handmade piece of ethical precious metal designer jewellery that you’ve made using this age old sustainable technique!

Choose whether you'd like to join the morning10am – 1pm class, the 2.30pm – 5.30pm afternoon class OR better still, book onto both classes to try both techniques of carving the bone and pressing an object into it and receive £20 off your silver material bill at the end of the day.

Each class will be kept to a maximum of 4 people aged 16 years and over.

Silver material will be charged extra by the gram at the end unless you want to bring your own hallmarked silver scrap to melt.

Frequently asked questions

Do both the morning class and afternoon class follow the same structure?

You get to choose whether to carve a design into the cuttlefish bone to cast, or press a small object into the bone. So with that in mind, one could book onto both classes that day and try both techniques!
