Description

A full day workshop open to all young people of Secondary School age.

Saturday 27 January 10.00 - 16.00 at Cove Park

16mm film making workshop with Margaret Salmon.

Artist and filmmaker Margaret Salmon will present an introduction to the 16mm film camera, working with the Cannon Scoopic, which was wildly used as an early press camera.

There will be a talk and demonstration about the basics of film exposure, reading light, loading film and general 16mm film production, after which the group will collaborate to create their own short film.

Following the workshop the resulting 16mm film stock will be developed and made available to participants online to view the results.

Juice and biscuits will be provided but participants will be required to bring a packed lunch.

This workshop is part of our National Art and Design Saturday Club and is open to all.

This is the first in our new series of monthly Saturday Studio workshops at Cove Park.

Please note, this event will take place in the Artist Centre and the accommodation around the 50-acre rural site. If you have any queries about accessing the Cove Park site please contact Cove Park in advance.

This workshop is part of Hands-On Cove Park, a programme of creative events, workshops and talks for people in Argyll & Bute. Find out more about the programme and sign up for updates here and see details of current activities here.
