Welcome to *Summer Yoga at Walmer Castle**! Start your weekend by joining us for a rejuvenating Saturday morning yoga session amidst the beautiful surroundings of Walmer Castle and Gardens. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, this class is suitable for all levels. Immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of the castle grounds, gardens, meadow and woodland after your class. There are also two lovely cafes if you'd like to stay for a cosy coffee after. Is there parking available?

The car park at Walmer Castle will be closed at this time on a Saturday, but you can park in the car park opposite for free if you have an English Heritage car sticker, or there is free parking along Granville Road or Kingsdown Road or at the Borrow Pit car park on Kingsdown Road (also free).

Will Walmer Castle be open to the public at 9:00am?

Walmer Castle and Gardens opens at 10:00am to the public, so this 9:00am class has exclusive access to the gardens and Education centre, just for us, so we can enjoy the peace of the surroundings, we will have the garden all to ourselves!

Can you attend this class even if you are not a member of English Heritage?

Yes! Your ticket means you can attend the yoga class inside the castle grounds and gardens - and enjoy a coffee, walk etc after if you’d like to stay after class!

Where will the class be held?

For Autumn and Winter, the class will be in a beautiful indoor space with underfloor heating (cosy!) and lovely arched windows overlooking apple trees, a big yew tree and the kitchen garden. And when the weather gets warmer in Spring, we can be outside in the lawned gardens.

Where do we meet?

We will be there to meet you at the front gates at the entrance to Walmer Castle. From here we will direct you to the class location. Please feel free to contact me via ‘contact the organiser’ if you have any questions! X

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

There are yoga mats provided or you may like to bring your own, whichever you prefer!
