Adult Satuday Course
Ideal for those new to sailing, this 5 day Saturday course teaches you the basics of sailing from which you can build on in our weekly club sailing sessions. On completion of this course you will be able to rig, launch, tack, gybe and confidently sail in all directions. Following the RYA National Sailing scheme this course combines practical sailing with some theory.Youth Satuday Course
ADULT: The cost of this course is £300 which includes membership of the club for use on completion of your training course at our weekly sailing nights.
Youth Saturday Course
5 Saturdays training for kids up to the age of 17, this would be perfect, both to learn the basics of sailing or to develop existing skills and progress to the next level. The enthusiastic instructors will tailor the course and deliver it at an appropriate level to each group ensuring it provides a fun and enjoyable experience. Following the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme, this course combines practical sailing with some theory. (Note: we only offer RYA Stage 1 to 3 on the Saturday blocks)
YOUTH: The cost of this course is £185 which includes membership of the club for use on completion of your training course at our weekly sailing nights. (Note: if you are already a member of the club or this is your second week training the cost is £155)
This course runs from 9:30 to 4:30 each day. Parent/guardian is required to come into the club on the Monday morning to sign a permision slip. (if Under 18)

YOUTH: We run various groups split by previous experience/level:
RYA Stage 1 - For complete beginners this course teaches you to the basic boat handling techniques such as launching/recovery, steering and basic boat controls. This course will be run with an instructor in each boat and up to 3 students.
RYA Stage 2 - Assumed basic knoledge and steering ability. Proressing from Stage 2 (most people will do combined course of both) looking at rigging, different points of sail, tacking and some ropework/theory. This course will introduce sailors to single handed boats
RYA Stage 3 - This level progresses on the previous levels looking at perfecting those tacks, intorducing gybing and sailing in all directions. This course brings more independence to the sailors as they carry out various manouvers in single handers.
