Saturday wildlife stroll to RSPB Bowling Green nature reserve
Sat 30 September 2017, 13:00 – 15:00 BST
Come and join us on one of our Saturday walks for an enjoyable stroll to find out more about the wildlife that not only lives here but also why the Exe and these reserves are so important for the resident wildlife and for visiting waders who spend the winter here.
Meet us upstairs at the RSPB Shop, Darts Farm. We will take a gentle stroll over the boardwalk through Goosemoor nature reserve to our revamped Bowling Green hide. (This part of the walk takes approximately 20 minutes.) If time permits, there will be an optional visit to the Viewing Platform overlooking the Clyst.
You are then welcome to continue on to the Goatwalk and Topsham High Street, go back to the hide or to return to Darts Farmer with Tony, our guide.
What birds are you likely to see? We may see black-tailed godwits and greenshanks on Goosemoor. At Bowling Green, we may also see brent geese plus good numbers of pintails and lapwings.
Guided walks help you to discover and explore more - whether you are local or on holiday.
