We are delighted to invite you to take part in a practical workshop, delivered by the School of Artisan Food in partnership with the Food and Drink Manufacturers Skills Programme.

Sausage Making Workshop

Join The School of Artisan Foods butcher and meat expert to learn how to make proper artisan sausages with this practical workshop.

During the session you will learn;

  • How to identify different cuts of pork, to understand what makes a great sausage

  • Learn about native breeds of pork

  • Learn essential mincing and stuffing skills and techniques

  • Learn about meat content, rusk and seasoning

  • Design your own sausage recipe and produce a small batch from beginning to end

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this funded course, you must meet the small business eligiblity criteria, set out in the booking form.

  • You must employ less than 250 employees

  • Be a manufacturer of food or drink products

  • Have a manufacturing base in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire
