Event description
Come to Queen’s Hospital, Romford for a free special event focusing on tackling knife and gang related crime.

About this Event

Our kids are at risk of being exploited by criminal gangs and they don’t know it. Even more alarmingly, neither do we, their parents, teachers, youth club leaders…. We need to be educated so we can protect our youngsters.

That’s why we’re holding this special event, Save our Children, at Queen’s Hospital, Romford.

Save the King, in partnership with the St Giles Trust are committed to supporting the disadvantaged, helping young people and improving our communities. Top surgeon Martin Griffiths, the NHS’ newly announced first clinical director for violence reduction will also be among the speakers.

This event is for parents and their children to learn more about knife crime. The St Giles Trust will run two workshops: one aimed at parents and one at youngsters, aged from around 10 to 16. These workshops will help parents understand what to look out for when their child could be being groomed by gangs, while youngsters will learn more about the long-term impact of knife crime and how they can stay safe. Read more about the workshops below.

There will also be open discussion about knife crime with reformed offenders, local police, as well as speakers from both charities and Martin Griffiths.
