Save Our SSSI - Wetland Conservation at Scotstown Moor
Join the Countryside Ranger Service for this hands-on conservation event at Scotstown Moor, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This important habitat is home to a diverse array of wildlife and your help is needed to rpotect and anhance its unique wetland ecosystem. Our activities will focus on:
- Gorse Removal: Help us clear invasive Gorse which is absorbing water from the wetland and outcompeting other native flora
- Wetland Expansion: Assist in vital efforts to restore and extend the wetland area, promoting biodiversity and supporting the natural water cycle
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about wetland ecosystems, meet like-minded people and make a tangible impact on preserving Scotstown Moor's natural beauty.

All tools and equiptment will be provided, along with guidance from the team. No prior experience is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to make a difference!
