Our key note speaker is Peter Fleming, Professor of Infant Health and Development Physiology at Bristol Medical School and he will be talking about "Unexpected and unexplained deaths in infants and young children: what do we know and what can we do to prevent them?"

Professor Fleming’s research has included extensive studies of normal physiological development of infants and children, both in the laboratory and community setting and over the past 40 years he has led several large-scale epidemiological studies of factors contributing to unexpected deaths in infants and children.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Directions
From the M4 Jct 12 take the Reading bound A4 and at the next traffic lights take the first left (towards Sainsburys) and an immediate first left again into Pincents Lane.

Follow the road past Dunelm Mill, Porsche and IKEA, continue up this road and Pincents Manor is up on the left.

For satellite navigation we suggest using RG31 4UH or RG31 7SD (IKEA) rather than the hotel postal code.

There is free parking at Pincents Manor Hotel for 150 cars. However, we will be sharing the car park with other site users so parking may be limited. Please use public transport or car share if you can.

Yellow 26 and Sky Blue 15 buses run fairly regularly from Reading town centre to IKEA taking approximately 30 minutes. Pincents Manor Hotel is a 5 minute walk from IKEA.

The nearest train station is in Reading town centre. You would have to catch a Yellow 26 or Sky Blue 15 bus or take a taxi to the hotel and allow at least an hour in case of bad traffic.
